The broad objectives of the Indian Society for Development and Environment Research are:

• To organise conferences and workshops on development and Environment with inter-disciplinary approach; Engineering, Sciences, Social Sciences and Mathematics would receive special priorities.

• To carry out research on development and environment issues with inter-disciplinary approach; Engineering, Sciences, Social Sciences and Mathematics would receive special priorities.

• To publish a international journal with inter-disciplinary approach; Engineering, Sciences, Development, Environment and Mathematics would receive special priorities.
